Blythe Blog: Kate's New Eyes

Last night I managed to use the hot glue method to remove Kate's amber eyes and replaced them with a pair of pretty grey eyes Doreen bought from Sugarmag in Hong Kong.

I'd used the matt scotch tape to protect her eyelashes and ran the tap over her eyes (twice). With my gun lighter I lit up the hot glue many times and stuck it on her eyeball before one eye finally popped out. My gun lighter ran out of lighter fluid!

I had to brave the cats in the kitchen (they were surprisingly docile, probably cos they just ate) to heat up the glue sticks on the stove. I think the other eye finally popped out after about 3-4 tries. The trick I think, is to let it cool enough.
