On a quiet day at home, I spied Kaku sitting on her cat tree and pulled
out my cam, set it on a few books, zoomed almost 12x to capture my baby
girl on film (digital, actually).

Secrets to Sleeping with Stuffy Nose
At last, a night of almost uninterrupted sleep, with only one wake-up.
The secrets:
* Play Heroes of Might and Magic 3 till 1am and win heroically!
* Read positive and happy material before dozing off.
* Spray nose with nasal spray (non-steroid) before sleeping.
* Sleep on back and resist turning.
* Cover entire self with blanket (save for head).
Sweet dreams!

Nose dripping like a leaky faucet...
Mind numb like cotton wool.
Sentiments, rather agonised.
Awake since 4am.

- Completed my campaign introduction and plan.
- Finished miscellaneous work tasks for the day.
- Visited my doc and scanned for human child. Has grown since last scan. Filled up more than one screen. Saw beating heart and prominent nose. Fretted mildly if nose was mine or hub's.
- Made a smoothie and drank it (healthy food of the day).
- Spent some time watching cats.
- Fed Boy a prawn from dinner (first time in years) without Tux noticing.
- Noticed I have
Blogshares and am doing fairly well! :D

What sort of humanist are you?
Haymaker
You are one of life’s enjoyers, determined to get the most you can out of your brief spell on Earth. Probably what first attracted you to atheism was the prospect of liberation from the Ten Commandments, few of which are compatible with a life of pleasure. You play hard and work quite hard, have a strong sense of loyalty and a relaxed but consistent approach to your philosophy.
You can’t see the point of abstract principles and probably wouldn’t lay down your life for a concept though you might for a friend. Something of a champagne humanist, you admire George Bernard Shaw for his cheerful agnosticism and pursuit of sensual rewards and your Hollywood hero is Marlon Brando, who was beautiful, irascible and aimed for goodness in his own tortured way.
Sometimes you might be tempted to allow your own pleasures to take precedence over your ethics. But everyone is striving for that elusive balance between the good and the happy life. You’d probably open another bottle and say there’s no contest.
What kind of humanist are you? Click here to find out.

Kaku finally made a permanent reappearance today. She clamoured for loo pets twice and then again in the kitchen. I was surprised that she even abandoned breakfast after a few bites to follow me back to the bedroom for some more pets. After a while, she seemed to realise that everyone else was eating (the clang of the bowls) and ran off.
Overall, she seemed a bit more confident, looking at me and meowing back at me, but then I saw that she had been gnawing at the base of her tail. Buffy and Tux sniffed curiously at the spot. Fur was noticably gone. I felt like such a terrible mother leaving her for 2 weeks. It must have been so traumatising for her.
I tried to make it up by talking to her and petting her even more. She seems a little better now, sitting atop the fridge. I petted her some and she watched me make soup curiously.
